The fights in Bellator 297 are making headlines for exciting the fans. One fight that caught the attention of the MMA community took place between Vadim Nemkov and Yoel Romero. Fans were highly disappointed to see the former UFC fighter’s lethargic in-fight antics. However, some felt that it was just funny to watch him drag the fight from a point where he was sure of losing it.

Nemkov versus Romero was the main event of Bellator 297 in the light heavyweight division. The Russian fighter made sure that he retained his title once again. Nemkov dominated the bout in all five rounds and won a lopsided unanimous decision victory at Wintrust Arena.

He is left with no choice but to move up in search of great opportunities. On the other hand, ‘Soldier of God’ has a record of 15 victories and 7 losses. He is 46 years old and faces the end of the road in his fighting career. When fans got to watch their bout, they concentrated on the fighting style of Romero, which was the least impressive.

 When Yoel Romero and Vadim Nemkov came together, fans got to see the theatrics of Romero. He struggled to keep himself balanced against the Russian fighter. Some of the fans believe that Romero was just trying to escape a knockout loss. They felt that his lethargic movements during the fight were his strategy to take the fight to a decision. Recently, footage from the fight posted by ESPN MMA on Instagram went viral, and fans felt that Romero adopted the “drunken master” style. ONE Championship fighter, Gurdarshan Mangat, commented, “Same way my dad fights me” after watching the video.
