Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis have been teammates. They, however, have had instances where they fought each other outside training. In a recent exchange on Twitter, Chris Curtis and Sean Strickland traded barbs at each other for being the reason for the fights. Both of them fight in the middleweight division of the UFC. While ‘Tarzan’ is ranked #7 in the middleweight division, Chris Curtis is ranked #14. The 31-year-old tweeted that he has twice been in a fight with Curtis outside the training and both times it was the ‘Action Man’ who was at fault.
In response, Curtis also revealed his version of the fights. He, however, claimed it was Strickland who punched him first on both occasions. Both fighters have had a good time in the UFC cage in recent times. While Strickland bounced off his loss against Jared Cannonier with a win against Nassourdine Imamov, Curtis defeated Joaquin Buckley at UFC 282.

Sean Strickland started the year looking for wins. He had lost twice in 2022, losing his fights against Alex Pereira and Jared Cannonier. He would like to back his recent win against Imamov with a few more victories to strengthen his position in the division. It remains between Chris Curtis and Sean Strickland to decide who started the fight outside training unless an “onlooker” turns up.
Fighters getting in a scuffle outside training isn’t a new thing. It, however, isn’t easy to decide who might have been at fault. While both fighters would like to carry on with their winning streaks, fans would love to know who actually was at fault when the two fighters met each other outside training.
