Sean O’Malley Excited to be Tracing Conor McGregor’s Footsteps

UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley spoke on all things MMA. News recently came out that Sean O’Malley will make his return to action at UFC 264 against Louis Smolka. ‘Sugar’ Sean is looking forward to using the exposure of fighting on a ‘Conor McGregor headlined card’ to push his career forward.
Chiefly, O’Malley suffered a setback when he was TKO’ed by ‘Chito’ Vera at UFC 252. Though he lost out on breaking into the top 15, he has since managed to bounce back. Sean O’Malley strongly believes that despite the setback, an undisputed championship belt awaits him. Moreover, he spoke out on his star potential and on how the fans viewed him.
In a chat with Helen Yee, he said, “The fans know the ‘Sugar show’ is coming back. The fans are waiting for me to take over the UFC. It’s been a slow process. I’ve been in the UFC since I was 22 so about 4 years. Got a couple of viral knockouts. I think the fans are just waiting for me to take over, be that Conor-level star that I know I’m capable of being. They’re waiting and I’m grinding every day. They know that. I’m going to be the champ and take over.”

Sean O’Malley: No limits
The 13-1 fighter out of the MMA lab has definitely showcased qualities that can bring him unparalleled stardom. From his flashy fighting style to his prowess on the mic, there are several avenues of the fight game that he is a master at. Not to mention, the UFC has recognized the talents he brings to the table and constantly provides him with main card features.

‘Sugar’ will mainly have to focus on racking up wins inside the cage and the rest will probably fall into place. He’s galvanized interest around his overall game and UFC fans are paying attention to his every move.
