Sean O’Malley is all set to compete at one of the biggest UFC events of the year. ‘Sugar’ will face Louis Smolka at the UFC 264 event. That event is going to be headlined by the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier fight.

Sean O’Malley is one of the brightest prospects in the UFC bantamweight division. ‘Sugar’ has great MMA record of 13-1 and would love to improve that when he steps into the Octagon next. As UFC 264 is headlined by the McGregor vs Poirier fight, all eyes will be on the event. Therefore, that event will be a great opportunity for ‘Sugar’ to widen his fanbase and showcase his talent to the entire world.

“You know Conor looked good in that fight. He looked fast, looked focus; he looked sharp. Dustin was, you know, landing the bigger shots and put his lights out. You know, I don’t think there’s a lack of motivation from Conor. He looked good going into that fight.”

“I’m a big fan of both of them, really like both of them. You know, I’d like to see Conor win, and who does he fight next, another big fight. But really I don’t know how I see that fight playing out.”

O’Malley has always been a fan of McGregor and has often talked about following his footsteps. Many people even compare O’Malley to a younger McGregor for his aggression and candidness.

For now, though, the fighter has set his eye on the fight vs Smolka. Sugar believes that if he wins this fight, he could challenge any top level bantamweight fighter and ultimately challenge for the title. ‘Sugar’ is a really entertaining fighter as well and fans are eager to watch him back in action at UFC 264.
