UFC 269 featured some of the best fights of the year. One of them was the bantamweight bout that took place on the main card of the pay-per-view.

Sean O’Malley and Raulian Paiva went to war with each other in a gruesome fight. However, the fight ended in just the first round. Both the fighters threw some good strikes at each other. However, ‘Suga’ brought his A-game at the last minute of the round.

He landed a vicious combination that knocked out the Brazilian and forced the referee to jump in and stop the fight. O’Malley took home the ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus for his fight.

After this victory, UFC would like to see more of the Suga Show. However, the surging star might not enter the octagon soon and take some time off to recover from his injuries and enjoy his time with his family.

In the post-fight interview with Megan Olivi of ESPN MMA, when asked about his next fight, ‘Suga responded by saying. “I was thinking march, but I was thinking okay, that might be a little sooner.”

“I went into this fight with a rib injury. And I know ribs take a lot of while. So I am gonna heal up my ribs, heal up my thumb and I Don’t know we will see. All I know is Christmas is next, and I am gonna win that.”

Besides, being an amazing fighter, ‘Suga’ is also a good trash talker. However, this time around, the Montana native didn’t land any verbal shots at his opponent.

Instead, he took a jab at his rival and former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in the UFC 269 press conference and also after the event.

‘Suga’ and No Love’ have been involved in a verbal war on the internet. However, the rivalry was fueled during the UFC 269 press conference. Both the combatants fought their respective bouts on the main card of the pay-per-view.

While the Montana native secured a first-round knockout win in his fight, the former champion faced a devastating loss in his flyweight debut. The latter moved to the flyweight division after a few setbacks in the bantamweight division.
