Sean Strickland has sent a chilling warning to his Norwegian middleweight opponent Jack Hermansson just days before their clash at UFC Fight Night 200.

Going into the fight, it is ‘Tarzan’ (#7) who has come out as the more aggressive of the duo. This is not surprising at all, as Strickland has a tendency to say some crazy stuff about his opponents.

At the pre-fight press conference for their main event scrap, Strickland has declared that he would prefer to lose in a ‘war’ rather than winning the match while fighting like a ‘pu**y’.

Jack Hermansson doesn’t want Sean Strickland to damage the sport

Even though killing someone might be the most shocking claim an individual can make in public, it isn’t new to Strickland.

The middleweight UFC star has said this quite a few times in public. He does this so often that it has become an extension of his personality. However, Hermansson is fed up with it and wants Strickland to not damage the sport further.

“When people in this sport are saying those kinds of things, it’s not actually helping our cause. I definitely could wish that people were a little bit more careful with that kind of stuff. As long as I represent the sport in a good way, hopefully it will be fine,” Hermansson told MMA Fighting.

“It doesn’t play in our favor. We just have to keep reminding people that most people are not like Sean. Hopefully, it’s just a thing that he puts into his character. Let’s hope so.”
