“I don’t give a f–k. Let’s be honest, I’m not going to be offensive when I say this,” Sean Strickland stated. “WNBA vs. NBA—who watches what and who makes more money? Sure, have women’s MMA, let it be a thing. I don’t like to watch it. I don’t think most people like to watch it. If female MMA were separate from male MMA, no one’s going to watch that sh-t.” ‘Tarzan’ made this controversial remark at the UFC 297 press conference in Canada last year, once again proving why he is one of the most outspoken and unpredictable figures in the sport.
The motor doesn’t stop running for Sean Strickland. One of his more infamous feuds involved Hollywood actress Megan Fox and her husband, musician Machine Gun Kelly. The conflict escalated when the American took verbal shots at the couple, even calling MGK “weird” at a Power Slap event, an exchange that nearly turned physical. ‘Tarzan’ later accused Fox and her husband of being part of a “satanic cult” after Fox admitted in an interview that they occasionally “consume each other’s blood for ritual purposes.”
When the bizarre accusation quickly spiraled into a heated social media battle, Sean Strickland intensified the situation by making transphobic remarks about Fox’s three children, which prompted Fox to confront him directly via Instagram DMs. Recalling the exchange on ‘Versus Us with Eric Nicksick,‘ the former champion revealed: “So, she (Megan Fox) hit me up, and I was like, ‘Fame level reached!’ But the message was actually kind of messed up. It was more like, ‘Hey, you know what? My kids get bullied, and I get bullied online because you said they are transgenders. But they’re not trans—they just want to dress like rock stars.’ And I was just like, ‘Sorry, Megan, I’ll shut the f–k up about it.’”

While Strickland did offer an apology, it was clear he had no real intention of backing down. As the conversation continued, he remained firm in his criticism of Fox, doubling down on his stance: “But still, you still drink blood and sh-t. You still do a lot of weird sh-t, Megan!” However, with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s engagement called off last year, Sean Strickland couldn’t resist commenting on the rumors surrounding their broken engagement.

Sean Strickland reacted to Megan Fox and MGK’s engagement fallout!
Like many, Sean Strickland wasn’t exactly a fan of Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s relationship. The 2022 engagement announcement broke the hearts of some fans; Megan Fox’s status as a Hollywood icon, solidified by the Transformers series, had long endeared her to them. The American, however, took a more critical approach, labeling Machine Gun Kelly as “a little satanic” and questioning Fox’s choice of partner.
In March 2024, things took an unexpected turn when Fox revealed on the Alexandra Cooper podcast that she had called off her engagement with MGK. Sean Strickland, clearly delighted, couldn’t help but share his joy with fans. He took to social media, jokingly asking them to thank him for “saving” Megan Fox from a relationship with MGK, writing, “Did I single-handedly save @meganfox? Wow, the lord works in mysterious ways.”

But the story didn’t end there. Later, in 2024, Fox shocked everyone again by announcing she was expecting a child with MGK. And so, the plot thickens.
