Laura Sanko’s surprising take on Sean Strickland vs. Dricus Du Plessis brawl
Lauro Sanko believes that what happened between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis is unfortunate and it shouldn’t have happened. She emphasized that the happening of that specific event was rooted in the UFC seasonal press conference. Sanko, while having a conversation with Michael Bisping, stated that she understands that banter between the fighters is needed, but it must be noted that it shouldn’t include family.
“I realize what game we’re in, right. I actually prefer guys have physical fights than do this s*** if I’m being honest, because that way the family doesn’t get dragged into it,” said Sanko.
She further explained, “When they get of age, that’s the stuff that really bothers me is the fact that things that are said now are permanent. If you’re going to get in a fight with each other, go for it. I actually like the fact that [Sean] fought Dricus, and I like how Dricus has handled the whole situation.”
Sanko’s assessment of the brawl is palpable considering the fact that she was also there to witness the entire event. In the conversation, Sanko also admitted that she misses the old banter by the UFC fighters.

Laura Sanko longing for the old-school banter
Down in the conversation, Sanko said she preferred how the old guard of fighters went at each other. She took the example of Chael Sonnen and Bisping –“I’m so sick of how the way that people talk sh*t now in the game has changed,”
She further added, “I miss your sh*t talk honestly. I miss Chael [Sonnen], who could dress someone down in the most creative way, and he wouldn’t even cuss. I like the creativity of attacking the fighter himself. Fine, you wanna call him a puss*? You want to call him blah, blah, blah. I’m not innocent in that way.”
