Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman are about to face each other in a highly anticipated bout. The excitement surrounding this match is so great that even those who aren’t typically interested in combat sports are talking about it. Usman stepped up on short notice to save UFC 294 after Paulo Costa withdrew from the fight. But can ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ take on ‘The Wolf’ and emerge victorious with such limited preparation time?

In the middle of the media hubbub surrounding their impending clash, the middleweight champion, Sean Strickland came forward to give his two cents on the anticipated clash. With his unbiased demeanor, Strickland ridiculed the match while offering a breakdown of both fighters.

Sean Strickland dismisses Usman vs. Chimaev bout and questions its validity

At UFC 293, Sean Strickland managed to pull off a stunning victory over Israel Adesanya, thereby claiming the middleweight belt. Despite being the underdog in the match, he showcased a masterclass performance, ultimately wresting the belt away from Adesanya’s grasp. As of now, Strickland stands at the pinnacle of his division, yet to make his first title defense. However, it appears that a change in circumstances may be on the horizon.

Dana White, earlier this month, stated that the winner of the upcoming Khamzat Chimaev. Vs Kamaru Usman fight will get a title shot against the middleweight champion Sean Strickland. Roughly speaking, Strickland is just moments away from knowing his next opponent.

Strickland, in his anticipation of the match, has referred to it as “Bulls*it”. The middleweight champ took to his YouTube channel to break down the fight. He said, “Here’s the thing Usman is not in a camp, (Chimaev) has been bulking to middleweight, Usman took this fight for a paycheck, They (UFC) said, ‘Hey, Usman. Here’s a couple of million. Do you want to take this fight? We’ll give it to you.’ Usman said, ‘I can’t say no. I’m going to do it.’”

He further added, “It’s a win-win for Usman. So, I think it doesn’t really count, because Chimaev has been training his d*ck off and bulking up for middleweight, and then you have Usman who’s been like, ‘I’m going to take this and get a paycheck.’ To me, this is kind of a bullsh*t fight. They just needed to fill a seat, and I got Chimaev.”

Interestingly enough, Usman and Chimaev were not the only ones on Strickland’s radar during the tirade.

Frustration mounts as middleweight champ calls for action against Paulo Costa

The middleweight champ Sean Strickland is done with Paulo Costa’s constant withdrawal from matches. Strickland adds that it is sad that UFC is not taking any action since Costa has pulled out from more matches recently than he has fought.

Down in the conversation, he added “This is more UFC f*ckery. This is bullsh*t,” Strickland said. “Bro, they just need to cut what’s his name? They need to f*cking cut Costa. Costa, dude, again, you are such a f*cking c*nt. At this point, f*ck Costa.”
