Recently, Strickland angered a section of the fans again with another outrageous take. This time, he took shots at the internet sensation Hasbulla and faced a backlash from a section of fans.

Strickland fired shots at the 20-year-old ridiculing him for his height. He posted insulting messages on Twitter and on Instagram. His digs at the Dagestani celebrity infuriated some fans who fired back at Strickland.

In a recent tweet, Strickland shared a picture of Hasbulla and UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. In the picture, the champion was holding Hasbulla close while posing. Strickland took an issue with Makhachev holding Hasbulla in that specific manner.

He posted the picture on his IG story and wrote, “This sh*t just weirds me out. Why do you hold this thing like a baby?! It’s 20 years old stop.” He posted a screenshot of the same on Twitter and commented, “Why do they hold him like a baby?!? WTF IS GOING ON HERE.”

One fan jokingly responded that the alternate options would have been weirder.

Another shared the same sentiment as Strickland, wondering why they treated an adult like a baby.

However, many fans did not entertain Strickland’s remarks and found them rather distasteful.

Some said Strickland was jealous of the 20-year-old for the preference he gets from Dana White and the UFC.

In addition to this, Strickland made headlines recently for dissing his own teammate during a spat with a rival. The 32-year-old targeted former UFC champion Luke Rockhold while engaging in a Twitter spat with Paulo Costa.

UFC middleweight Paulo Costa and Sean Strickland have been going at each other for a while now. The pair had another go at each other on Twitter a few weeks ago. During their debate, Strickland took shots and his teammate and Costa’s last opponent, Luke Rockhold.

The Brazilian claimed that Strickland was not interested in a fight against him. In response, Strickland expressed his willingness saying, “Lmao man I’d fight you in the cage for money and I’d fight you in the parking lot for free…… Luke gave you a hard fight. He doesn’t even qualify as a training partner for me…”

He was taking shots at the Brazilian for his performance against Rockhold at UFC 278.

It appears as if Strickland doesn’t even let former teammates off that easily. Hence, his dig at Hasbulla is typical of his persona.
