The Justin Gaethje versus Michael Chandler bout at UFC 268 was a very exciting and highly anticipated one. Fans of both fighters could not wait to see them in the octagon. Gaethje and Chandler made sure to not disappoint their fans and gave one of the best fights. While Chandler lost the bout, many agree that his performance was amazing. 

One such person is the legendary fighter, Conor McGregor. ‘The Notorious’ was so impressed that he himself seems interested in a fight with Michael Chandler, and he made sure that Chandler was aware of this too. Both the fighters engaged in a humble exchange on Twitter.

Will Conor McGregor face Michael Chandler in 2022?

McGregor has graced the lightweight, featherweight as well as welterweight divisions. While both the fighters have not clashed yet, it seems the best time for them to face each other. 

Chandler shared a picture of both of them facing off. McGregor replied and shared his interest in fighting Chandler. He wrote, “I’m down at some stage for sure. Great fight the other night Mike, congrats!”

Chandler replied, “Thank you sir. It would be my pleasure. See you soon.”

With a great potential fight in the near future, UFC fans have something extremely exciting to await. As both fighters are interested in a bout, it seems like a very likely possibility. Data White is yet to comment on its probability. Considering their skills and fame, it would be a very interesting fight to watch.

Further, McGregor as well as Chandler are coming off of fight losses. McGregor lost previously to Dustin Poirier and Chandler has lost to Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. Thus, they are perfect opponents for each other. 

Fans expect to see Conor McGregor make a comeback in 2022. A clash against Michael Chandler could be a great way to do so.
