“Set it up”- UFC sensation Tai Tuivasa wants to do a ‘Shoey’ with Leonardo DiCaprio

Tai Tuivasa has become a UFC sensation with his performances inside the octagon. The Australian prospect is on a rampage with 4 consecutive wins in the power-packed heavyweight division of the promotion. Meanwhile, it’s his post-win celebratory ‘Shoey’ that takes the limelight. Now, the 28-year-old wants to do one with acting prodigy, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Speaking with UFC analyst Ariel Helwani on his show The MMA Hour, ‘Bam Bam’ was asked which celebrity he would choose to do a ‘Shoey’ with if given the chance. Interestingly, replied with legendary actor, Leonardo DiCaprio. Here’s how the conversation went.

“If you could do a ‘Shoey’ with one person on the planet, a famous person, celebrity, I don’t care who it is. Who’s that person?” Helwani asked.

“Leonardo DiCaprio, I love him,” Tuivasa affirmed.

“That’s your guy? Why him?” Helwani questioned.

“That’s my guy, I love, I love him; I love what he does. I love his movies and I just think he’s the… I’d love to go out with him, hang out with him… You set me and Steve [Austin] up, set it up.”

Tai Tuivasa would love to fight Derrick Lewis

In the same conversation with Ariel Helwani, Tai Tuivasa affirmed he would love to meet elite 265-pounder Derrick Lewis in the octagon. However, that might come a little later, as ‘The Black Beast’ is way above him in the heavyweight charts.

Tuivasa said, “I’m a big fan of Derrick Lewis. That’s the way I prove myself. To be the best you’ve got to beat the best and I would definitely like to fight Derrick Lewis.”

The matchup would be really entertaining, as both of the fighters have really jolly personalities in the otherwise serious division. Notably, Lewis is back in the winning column after scoring a first-round knockout against former police officer Chris Daukaus in the headliner of UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Daukaus.
