However, this report didn’t sit well with one of their biggest sporting icons, Conor McGregor. ‘The Notorious’ shared a message regarding the news on social media.

Conor McGregor reacts after Ireland gets named the most expensive country in Europe

‘Ladbible Ireland’ shared a post on their Instagram handle regarding a recent Eurostat report. The report claims that Ireland has the highest prices for household final consumption expenditures in comparison to other European countries. Moreover, it is 146 percent more than the average in any of the countries under the European Union. Alcohol, tobacco, energy, transportation, and communication prices are driving up prices in Ireland.

This news drew a negative reaction from Ireland’s greatest export, Conor McGregor. He expressed his thoughts about the situation in a story on Instagram and wrote, “Quite ridiculous. Shame on “our” Government.” McGregor was baffled to learn that prices have gone so high in his native country. Furthermore, he also blamed the government, holding them accountable.
