Recently, UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski was hanging out with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Volk took to Social media to share the moments he spent with Shaq.

In the video, they can be seen getting pictures clicked where the Aussie is posing to punch Shaq in the face. The P4P king also pinned comments on his YouTube channel saying, “How would Shaq do in the UFC?”. Moreover, he posted the same video on his Instagram with the caption, “Absolute Legend!”

Big Shaq and The UFC

Shaquille O’Neal is a huge MMA fan. The quadruple NBA ring winner has popped up at several UFC events. He shares a very healthy relationship with UFC President, Dana White, and on numerous occasions is seen having fun with UFC fighters.

A video of him and UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou also went viral on the internet. The UFC champ lifted the NBA giant from the ground with ease. Fans and even Shaq were surprised to see the Cameroonian’s strength.

The NBA Hall of Famer revealed in an interview that he fell in love with mixed martial arts long ago and the fighter who got his attention to MMA was Vitor Belfort. He also stated that this was long before he became friends with Dana White.

Volkanovski to Lightweight?

On the other hand, Alexander Volkanovski, the no. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, dethroned the long-reigning Kamaru Usman, who lost this top spot after facing a devastating defeat at the hands of Leon Edwards. 

Volk is undefeated in the UFC and currently holds the UFC featherweight strap with four title defenses. After his recent victory against Max Holloway, the champ wants to jump his division and fight for the lightweight title.

In an interview, he also expressed his willingness to be the backup fighter for Islam Makhachev vs Charles Oliveira bout taking place at UFC 280.
