UFC middleweight, Julian Marquez, made his Octagon return at the UFC 258 pay-per-view against Maki Pitolo. ‘The Cuban Missile Crisis’ submitted Pitolo in the third round of the contest in what was his first UFC appearance in over two-and-a-half years. While the performance was memorable, Marquez’s post-fight call-out may have taken the shine of his impressive display.

In his post-fight interview, Marquez did not name his next opponent. Instead, he called for American singer, Miley Cyrus, to be his valentine in a hilarious manner. That didn’t escape Cyrus’s attention, and she responded on Twitter to grant that request, but only on certain conditions.

The pop star wrote, “Shave an MC into your chest hair and I am YOURS Happy VDay and Congrats my love!”. It was a rather unusual request from Cyrus, and now the ball is in Marquez’s court.

MMA fans, and music fans, will be keen to see if Marquez complies with Cyrus’ wish. Given the fact that he waited a long time to make this call-out, he may just go through with the same.

Julian Marquez is going in the right direction in all aspects

Marquez picked up his second win in the UFC in 3 appearances. He looked sharper than ever after a two-and-a-half years lay off. He has now finished all of his 8 professional wins and will be keen to ensure he doesn’t have a lengthy spell of inactivity again. His finish will certainly help matters here.

Cyrus’s response will only raise the fighter’s stocks higher. If Marquez follows through with the former Disney star’s condition, he will ensure his spot in the limelight amongst casuals for a bit longer.
