Usman mentions that he would have his daughter with him sometimes while going to the gym and training.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ confirmed with a heavy heart that his daughter won’t be there in London this weekend. Usman said, “Unfortunately, she’s [his daughter] won’t make the trip.” He mentions that he is coming to London for business purposes and he wants to keep his business away from his personal life. Usman added, “You know, this is a business trip for me and I wanna keep it that way.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ mentions that he can get distracted by his daughter sometimes. He said, “She has that off switch. She could just turn off [the] Nigerian Nightmare back to Kamaru Usman. She just flips it. So I wanna let this one be a business trip, take care of business and take that belt back home to her.”

Kamaru Usman talked about his daughter’s beautiful personality and said, “She has a lot of personality and she’s very resilient and she knows how to get to me.” The former welterweight champion is happy to see his daughter grow to become what she has.

It is pertinent to note that his daughter was present in his last fight against Edwards and had a painful reaction to witnessing the KO. Her reaction was so strong that Conor McGregor was forced to tweet about it.

Considering the physicality that involves in MMA, it is natural to see Kamaru Usman keep his fighting displays out of his daughter’s reach. Moreover, he wants to focus on this fight and avenge an upset that saw his opponent win the best underdog award for 2022. Moreover, he has requested the UFC to assign a neutral referee for his fight. Fans will have to wait and see what pans out this weekend.
