Julianna Pena, the UFC bantamweight fighter, put up a brilliant performance and got a victory at UFC 269. She took on the former UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 269.

Considering her undefeated record since 2015, many believed ‘The Lioness’ will certainly defend her title. However, ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ came in more confident than ever in the title fight. She surprised various UFC fans by defeating ‘The Lioness’ in the second round via submission.

Many UFC fans and stars reacted to her stunning victory. One of them was the former bantamweight champion, Holly Holm. The latter has previously suffered a loss at the hands of ‘The Lioness’ at UFC 239.

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ chimed her thoughts on Nunes’ performance. She said, “I think she dominated not dominated. She won the first round. I had Amanda winning the first round.”

“Even on the ground, she was on top of Pena. Pena couldn’t really do a whole lot and then when the second round came, I think maybe because it didn’t go as the first round plans.”

“She just changed her game plan and she kind of just did it in front of Pena.”

“They were just exchanging and just. I think she was just kind of you know what? Maybe I can catch her and knock her out. Maybe I can get her.”

“So, like I said, who knows what really happened in the fighter’s mind only they know. So it’s like credits on both sides. You can’t just say Nunes didn’t show up. Well, Pena performed.”

‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ is one of the most prominent names in the MMA sport. She hails a professional fighting record of 14-5, with eight knockout wins under her name.
