In September 2021, Suarez was scheduled to fight Roxanne Modafferi after a long hiatus. However, Suarez had to pull out of the fight because of a knee injury that kept her away from the ring for one more year. Now Tatiana Suarez is making a comeback after more than 3 years in a fight against Montana De La Rosa. In a conference before her fight, Suarez opened up about her injury.

Tatiana Suarez Had To Relearn How To Walk

According to Suarez, she suffered a very bad injury while training for her fight against Modafferi. She explained that she tore almost every ligament in her knee. “I sustained a really bad knee injury. I tore every single ligament in my knee except for the PCL”, said Suarez.

She added that she was off the crutches for the first 8-10 weeks. “I had to be off crutches for 8-10 weeks, so I had to relearn how to walk, (and) run. It was crazy”, revealed the TUF 23 winner.
