The MMA fans will see the former UFC fighter Mike Perry in a new form of combat sports. He is set to feature on the fight card of Triller Triad Combat, which takes place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

It is a form of combat sport where the athletes will compete inside a triangular ring and under two-minute rounds. However, only punches, clinching, and striking are allowed. Many former UFC fighters will compete at the event and one of them is the welterweight, Mike Perry.

Ahead of his fight this Saturday, ‘Platinum’ talked with famous MMA reporter Helen Yee and shared his experience at the event. He also talked about his recent encounter with a Hollywood star.

Perry said, “The head-banging rock music might have put me in the zone, you know. There’s a lot of people that are just up for the event. The concert playing in between fights or you know a live band like that has such a great following. And you know I met Jamie Foxx the other day shout out Jamie Foxx, bro. He was at the Dallas game yesterday.”

“I told him to come through. I said I’m fighting this weekend. He’s ‘all right man, you know I try to pull up” (while doing Jamie Foxx Impression). So that’s my Jamie Foxx Impersonation and you know.”

‘Platinum’ has competed in fifteen UFC fights. He has a professional fighting record of 14-8 under his name. He is a skilled knockout artist with an amazing eleven knockout wins on his MMA resume.

However, after a decent career in the UFC, Perry parted ways with the promotion in 2021. He is currently on a two-fight skid. Interestingly, unlike many other retired UFC fighters who choose to test their skills in a boxing ring after retirement, ‘Platinum walked a different path.

After departing from the UFC, the 30-year-old moved to another form of MMA, bare-knuckle fighting. Soon his fans will see him compete in the new promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. However, there has been no official announcement about his next opponent.

Meanwhile, Perry announced his move to BKFC on his official Twitter account. But first, the fans will see him inside the triangular ring this weekend.
