‘The Eagle’ is now retired, but it seems like they both still can’t get enough of each other. Nurmagomedov and ‘El Cucuy’ keep taking shots at each other. The latest one to have a go is Ferguson. The former UFC interim lightweight champion responded to a tweet by Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz.

The saga between two of the greatest lightweights seems unending. While ‘The Eagle‘ is now retired and owns an MMA organization of his own, Ferguson is on a three-fight losing streak and is looking to get back inside the octagon and find his old form.

UFC President Dana White confirmed that the promotion is looking to book Ferguson soon.

UFC looking to book Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Chandler

UFC’s lightweight division probably has the best roster in the promotion. It has some of the biggest and the most exciting fighters. Two of them are Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler. Both men are massive fan favorites and the UFC is looking to book them against each other.

In a recent interview with Laura Sanko, White was asked if the UFC has an opponent for Ferguson. He said, “We’re looking at him and Chandler. There you go. Don’t lie and say it’s done and then managers are going to start calling and crying.”

This fight will be huge, considering their fan following. Both are elite fighters, but are also currently on losing streaks. A win, if the fight takes place, will do a world of good for both of them.
