Former KSW lightweight and featherweight champion Mateusz Gamrot snapped back at Leon Edwards, defending his training partner; Jorge Masvidal. Previously, Jorge was scheduled to fight Leon Edwards at the UFC 269 event. However, the much-awaited matchup had to be canceled as “Gamebred” suffered an undisclosed injury.

During a recent interview on ESPN MMA, Leon Edwards highlighted Masvidal for being “Fake.” Gamrot seemed very displeased by this comment. Edwards portrayed Masvidal as being scared and purposefully skipping the bout, which did not sit right with Gamrot.

Following this, Mateusz bashed Leon on Twitter saying, “Shut your mouth poosy. I saw the injury happen at training and you are super lucky because Masvidal was in top shape and would murder you. Fight with @GamebredFighter in March or wait in line”.

‘Rocky’ and Jorge Masvidal have been on stiff terms from the very beginning. Masvidal has been out of the game following his last defeat at the hands of Kamaru Usman. He was set to return against Edwards, but now the much-awaited fight between the two has been canceled.

Following this turn of events, Leon dragged Jorge on Twitter, quoting, “Disappointed, but honestly, I knew this fraud didn’t want to fight me, anyway. He was just a stop off on the way to the title. The goal remains the same. Much needed family time now, @usman84kg I will see you soon.”
