Former two-division UFC champion, Daniel Cormier took to Twitter recently to call out Max Holloway. DC happens to share a friendly relationship with the former UFC featherweight champion. The duo always has some back-and-forth going on between them as part of the banter.

DC posted a photo of Holloway’s last fight against Calvin Kattar in January. The Hawaiian put o a striking clinic on ‘The Boston Finisher’, earning a lopsided decision in his favor. However, it was his antics during the final round of the contest that sent fans into a frenzy. ‘Blessed’ slipped Katar’s shots and landed some of his own all while talking to the commentary team.

Ok he broke me! No sparring , zoom training , long hair , black shorts @BlessedMMAis absolutely must see!!! And that’s the Max Holloway I wanna fight! Discussions stalled when I left him off, we’re back in business now Max? Sign the contract! #daddestmanontheplanet,” wrote Cormier.

When is Max Holloway fighting next?

While ‘Blessed’ made a point that he is one of the best boxers in the UFC in his last fight, he hasn’t returned to the Octagon since. A fight against Yair Rodriguez had to be called off after Holloway was diagnosed with an injury. The striking duo was supposed to fight in July in what promised to be a feast for the fans.

Nevertheless, Holloway wants to get his belt back. And with Alexander Volkanovski set to defend his title next month against Brian Ortega, one might expect the former champion to get his shot at doing so by facing the winner.

However, fans might see Holloway fight another contender in the meantime if the timeline of the fight doesn’t match. But it seems like he already has an opponent in form of Daniel Cormier to take care of. Both men are really serious about the ‘Daddest Man on The Planet’ crown. If they actually do some sort of a contest to find the winner for that, remains to be seen.
