“So Much Power It’s Danger” – Conor McGregor Happy With the Revenue Generated by Las Vegas

The UFC has hosted several of their highest-grossing PPV events in Las Vegas, from which the UFC PPV king, Conor McGregor, has headlined most of them. As a result, the ‘Notorious’ one shares a special bond with the city.

Las Vegas bills itself as the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’. Besides being one of the most visited tourist places, Vegas is well-known for casinos and bets. During the Covid-19 lockdown period, Vegas’ gambling revenue dropped drastically. However, in the post-lockdown, it appears the city is back in business.

In July 2021, Vegas generated a record-breaking $794 million in gambling revenue, as per Forbes. This mind-boggling news saw several well-known personalities share their reaction. One such person was the former UFC two-division champion, Conor McGregor.

The ‘Notorious’ one shared his reaction on his official Twitter handle. In his Tweet, he said – “So much Power it’s danger.”

How many times has Conor McGregor fought in Las Vegas?

As of August 2021, McGregor has fought a total no. of eight times in Las Vegas. The ‘Notorious’ one emerged victorious five times in his eight outings in Vegas. 

In his first outing in Vegas, McGregor fought against Dustin Poirier at UFC 178, which would become one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history. The first chapter of this trilogy series resulted in Conor McGregor winning via a first-round TKO.

Ironically, in his last outing in Vegas, McGregor had his trilogy fight against his rival, Dustin Poirier, at UFC 264. The trilogy fight had an anti-climactic outcome, as the ‘Notorious’ one suffered a leg injury. As a result, Poirier was declared the winner via TKO (Doctor’s stoppage).

After the injury, McGregor had already made it clear that this rivalry was not over yet. As a result, fans may witness McGregor vs. Poirier 4 soon. As it all started in Vegas, it seems fair for the pair to put their rivalry to rest in Vegas.
