A bantamweight bout between Daniel Santos and Johnny Munoz Jr. had the fans wincing in their seats after a number of low blows. Munoz took two to his groin, one in the first round and one in the third. The latter seemed to have really crippled the 30-year-old, and he looked doubtful about continuing the contest.

However, he was able to tough it out till the final minute and even found some success in the round. Unfortunately, that was not enough to get his hand raised. Santos had dominated to such an extent that he won the fight 29-27 on all scorecards, even after Herb Dean took a point from him.
