Joe Rogan talks about his socially awkward days

In the #1949 episode of JRE, Rogan was talking to comedian and podcaster Russell Brand. When the ‘Stay Free with Russell Brand’ podcast host talked about his childhood, the 55-year-old could not resist talking about his “weird kid” days.

Rogan said, “I have found martial arts at a very young age, and so discipline became my addiction. And I got very, very, very fortunate that I went in that direction because I grew up to a lot of guys that drank and did a lot of drugs. They went off their way and I didn’t. I avoided all that throughout high school.

Talking further on the topic, Rogan added, “I barely partied in high school. I got drunk a couple of times. I smoked pot a couple of times and that was it all throughout High School. My high school was filled with discipline and all I did was train. I was a very weird kid in that regard like socially. I was kind of an outcast. But, I found through that path. It was like there was a clear road where I could be a better person and a happier person.
