Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has faced some heavy criticism recently for his comments on ring girls in the sport of MMA. Many UFC stars like Valentina Shevchenko, Conor McGregor, and more have chimed in their input on the situation. But, apparently, the Dagestani fighter is unfazed by those opinions as he stands by his view.

‘The Eagle’ implied that ring girls are not a necessary part of the sport of MMA. Not everyone has taken those comments lightly, to say the least. However, the Russian fighter is adamant about his view and stands by what he said previously.

“I know I can say lot of things, lot of good things, people gonna like it. But, I never think about maybe people gonna like this or not. I know all the times I say a lot of strange things too. I don’t care, this is my opinion. I born with this, I grew up with this,” said Nurmagomedov.

“Sometimes people like when I say something they don’t agree with this, but who cares? I don’t care,” he added further. “Because I know I am right, in my mind. Because everybody have their own views on something,” the Russian continued.

Nurmagomedov also added that he doesn’t care too much if others don’t like his opinion of his things. He will put things out as he sees them always, no matter the consequences.

While ‘The Eagle’ has made it clear that he will never have ring girls for his own promotion, Eagle FC, he also made it clear that he doesn’t judge others, like his former boss, the UFC President Dana White for their decisions.

“I have my own promotion, Eagle Fighting Championship. (Sometimes ago someone ask me) Why no ring girls? I think it’s no reason. It’s my opinion. Some people don’t agree with me. But, who cares? I don’t care. Because I have my opinion,” said Nurmagomedov.

“This is my promotion, I make decision. Not Dana or other people. Dana can do whatever he wants. I am gonna do whatever I want,” he added. “Sometime he do something, I don’t understand him too. But I never judge him. This is his decision. Because his name is Dana White and my name is Khabib,” the Russian said further.

“I never watch what people think about this. If I have opinion I am gonna say this,” the Russian said further.

It will be interesting to see the reaction of the MMA community after the recent comments from Nurmagomedov. But, it is evident at this point that the former champion will never drift away from his opinions.
