On the other hand, Rogan’s podcast has come under fire for spreading misinformation regarding the pandemic. Famous musician, Neil Young asked for his music to be removed from Spotify after the Rogan controversy. People took to Twitter and other social media to try to “cancel” Rogan.

Spotify decided to tackle this problem by labeling specific content with warnings. The company also directed users to information hubs rather than canceling Rogan’s videos or taking serious action against him.

It is no doubt that Rogan is one of Spotify’s biggest assets and continues to grow even after controversies. The company will grow with him if everything goes according to plan and Rogan stays out of trouble.
