Spotify Executive, Responsible for $200 Million Joe Rogan Deal & Recruiting Prince Harry, Barack Obama, Steps Down

The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most renowned podcasts in the world. Given the quality of people who come on to the podcast, it has been the most viewed podcast in the United States alone.

Other than Joe Rogan’s talent and interest in making the podcast such a success, one of the main heroes behind the scenes was a Spotify executive, Courtney W. Holt. 

Holt was one of the pivotal individuals who capitalized on an opportunity to move Rogan’s podcast to Spotify. The Joe Rogan Experience is by far one of the most important elements of entertainment that Spotify has to offer currently.

Through all the ups and downs, controversies, and record breaks, Courtney W. Holt has now finally stepped down from his position at Spotify. 

The former Spotify executive was the one who brought in gargantuan names like the Obamas, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. With a star-studded resume of celebrity acquisitions, Holt said this about leaving Spotify.

“I want to give thanks to the incredible teams at @Spotify. I was luck enough to lead and interact with.The goals we set were ambitious, and yet we achieved so much.There is a great future for the company beyond what you can see and hear today!” Tweeted Holt.

The reason for him stepping down from his position is unknown and will likely remain that way. Holt has worked for multiple years in Spotify and will probably move on to other ventures. 2022 was an incredibly tough year for Joe Rogan and Spotify themselves. It would have been no easy feat to quell the wildfires lit on social media with all the controversies going on. 

Joe Rogan and Spotify: Trouble in Paradise? 

Joe Rogan and Spotify have a lucrative deal between them, which is worth a lot of money. The deal, which was previously known to be signed for 100 million dollars, is now likely being revealed to be almost double that value. 

Being one of the most valued creators on the platform, Joe Rogan went through a rough patch with Spotify during his period of controversies. The show disappeared from Spotify, sparking worldwide outrage and speculation. Spotify, later on, confirmed it was a technical glitch, and it was restored shortly after.
