

Joe Rogan seems to be in a dilemma. In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ #1810, the Spotify podcaster was seen discussing the food shortage that people have been talking about lately. The subject seems to have left him puzzled.

Speaking to his guest, Remi Warren, about the subject, Rogan said, “I don’t know why everyone’s predicting all these goddam food shortages, kind of freaked me out as I hear about it in the news constantly. Look ‘food shortages are coming’, ‘food shortages are coming’. Like how? There’s so much food. What are we doing?”
“What are we gonna do differently in six months than we’re doing now that you’re assuming there’s going to be food shortages?”

Both the personalities further discussed the food processing factories and the issues with them. In addition to this, Rogan also discussed the role online articles have to play in this. He said, “When you look at the news online, like the value of a clickbaity title, it’s undeniable. Like when you get a good title like ‘food shortages’, like ‘oh, my children are going to starve, let me click…’. Like instantaneously drawn into it and then, they are rewarded.”

Thus, according to Rogan, media outlets continue to publish more “fear-mongering” articles. Rogan’s guest felt that such articles can cause “panic-buying”.

Joe Rogan on the cry wolf situation with food shortages
While the UFC commentator is unhappy with the news, he fears that food shortages could become a cry wolf situation. As per his further discussion with Warren, Rogan fears that he might ignore the situation and go to the supermarket and find out that the news was true.
Rogan and his guest thus went on to discuss being self-sufficient through hunting. The podcaster who eats mostly meat said that he and his family could survive for almost a year in such a scenario.
