Tony Ferguson the type of guy to lose six fights in a row and want to fight an undefeated fighter for his next fight. One of the most loved fighters by fans in UFC history, Ferguson has become a shell of his former self. While he still remains a big star for the company, a large part of the fandom wishes he hung up his boots.

But, it seems ‘The Boogeyman’ has still not lost his unique sense of humor or his confidence and swag, which had endeared him to the UFC world in the first place. Recently, on his social media, the Californian jokingly posted a fight poster against an up-and-coming undefeated fighter, which had fans horrified.

Tony Ferguson posted a fake poster of him against #6 ranked welterweight Shavkat Rakhmanov, who has expressed a desire to fight at UFC 294 or 295, at UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot on September 23 his Instagram Story. He joked that he was apparently facing ‘Nomad’ this weekend and hoped he could make weight, before confessing he was joking, and didn’t even know who the Kazakh was.

“Soooooo,… Guess I’m Fighting This Weekend! Hope I Make Weight” the former interim lightweight champion wrote as a caption on one Story. “Jussssst Kiddin’ Who Is This Guy Anyways!?!” he wrote in the next Instagram Story.

Fans react to Ferguson’s poster

Fans, of course, were not amused and most felt that this would not be a good idea and Ferguson would lose to the Kazakh. Here is what some of what they had to say.

Another felt it would be Ferguson’s last fight:

Another commented that a prime Ferguson would defeat Rakhmanov easily:

Clearly, fans are not interested at the prospect of Fergus0n fighting Rakhmanov and would rather see him hang up his gloves. And given his recent record and the shocking drop in his performance, it is difficult to disagree.
