Jon Jones is all geared up to defend his heavyweight title for the first time at UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden next month. And while he claims that this might be his last fight, fans can rest assured that this will surely be his toughest battle yet. The two-weight world champion will be going one-on-one against Stipe Miocic after being out of action for over two years due to a pectoral tear that pulled him out of their first scheduled fight.

But now he is 100% ready to give it his all. And to do so, he may have achieved the best shape of his life. He recently showcased his incredible build on social media. Many fans questioned whether Jon Jones’ physique was the result of steroid abuse, an accusation he has been facing for years. However, this time Jon Jones has taken a jibe at his fans’ suspicions.

Jon Jones took to Instagram stories to show off a photo of his physique ahead of his much-awaited fight against Miocic. The Hall of Famer has surely bulked up quite a lot between the duration of his final light-heavyweight defense and his heavyweight championship win last year. He also uploaded an Instagram story just days before the post where he was bombarded with negative comments, with several social media users commenting on how he achieved the shape unnaturally.

So in pure ‘Bones’ fashion, Jones accompanied the post with a caption that takes a major jibe at all his hates. He called them salty for hating on him as a method to vent their frustrations as he wrote, “Whole bunch of trolls whos dreams never came true, stuck in the mud talking about he’s on steroids.” There appears to be no basis for any current rumors that he may be using performance-enhancing medications. The world heavyweight champion has been randomly tested four times this year, with all findings negative.

It is worth noting that many fans criticized his body in the original promotional photos for UFC 285. However, he turned up in great shape and easily defeated Gane to win the vacant belt. And this time he appears to have leveled up even more for his next appearance, flaunting a toned six-pack to his fans. So will this new build be able to help him win? Well, it seems like another heavyweight legend thinks Miocic will still overpower ‘Bones.’

Francis Ngannou shares his prediction for the duel between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic

Ahead of his much-awaited PFL debut fight in PFL against Renan Ferreira, Francis Ngannou talked about the much-anticipated bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. The former UFC heavyweight champion faced Miocic twice in his career. So he knows how dangerous the ‘Firefighter’ can be inside the Octagon. Maybe that’s why Ngannou has predicted that Miocic will have the upper hand at the major event.

He said, “I’ll choose Stipe. I think stylistically, Stipe will be favored. I fought him twice, and I feel like he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Obviously, I won the second time the way everyone remembers, but I still know I could have lost that fight. I know how good he is as an athlete. I mean, he faced Daniel Cormier three times, and you can see how he did it. Then again, I also think this is a different weight class for Jon Jones. This is heavyweight, and I feel like it’s slightly different from light heavyweight. How good is Jon Jones? He was the best in the world… in light heavyweight. But I think at heavyweight he’ll definitely find some challenge.”

Well, this surely would be a stunning response for many. Especially when many polls show that fans believe it would be ‘Bones’ who would be walking out after retaining his title. But if Ngannou claims someone can be a tough contender and could’ve made him lose a fight, this would be worth considering. But what do you think? Who will win? Let us know in the comments.
