Steve Erceg’s only UFC loss

Hailing from the streets of Perth, Australia, Steve Erceg was born into a family of Croatian descent who spent their life in Australia. Erceg’s fascination with the world of MMA started when he witnessed Brock Lesnar taking on Frank Mir back in UFC 81. Well, Erceg was signed by the promotion back in 2023, his first fight was against David Dvorak back in UFC 289, and Erceg clinched the victory by way of a unanimous decision. After three victories at the UFC, Erceg got the chance to face Alexandre Pantoja for the flyweight belt.

The Australian fighter showcased tremendous effort to clinch the 125 lbs gold but failed to get the belt as Pantoja won the bout by way of unanimous decision.
