Many notable names, including UFC stars and Hollywood celebrities, talked in support of the comedian Rock while condemning Smith’s action. Most recently, the famous American television personality Steve Harvey shared his thoughts on the controversy.
Harvey is one of the calmest and most collected people, as seen many times on television. Fans have seen him doing kind acts on his talk show. One major example of his act is when Harvey helped the UFC number one pound-for-pound fighter, Kamaru Usman, in surprising his parents on his show.

However, even a guy like Harvey would have lost his cool if he was Chris Rock at the Oscars. As reported by Yahoo News, Harvey highly condemned Smith’s action and billed it as a “punk move.”
In the interview, he said, “I’m a Christian, but I’m really undeveloped. I don’t have high-level Christianity. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’m like a 2. That’s the level of Christianity I can work on.”

“You slap T. D. Jakes, he’ll turn the other cheek. You slap me? If you sit back in your seat, Jada would have to move out of the way. That’s the type of Christian I am.” Harvey concluded.
Joe Rogan blames the Will Smith- Chris Rock incident for the recent attack on Dave Chappelle
Harvey wasn’t the only person who slammed actor Smith for his slap on Rock. The UFC color commentator Joe Rogan also bashed the academy award winner for his actions. Not only that, but Rogan also believes it was the Oscar incident that gave rise to other assaults on comedians on stage.
Recently, a famous comedian Dave Chappelle was allegedly attacked while he was performing on the stage. However, his security jumped in and handled the situation.

While talking about the incident, Rogan, on one episode of his podcast, said, “Well, we live in strange times, man. I mean, after the Chris Rock thing, that was one of the things that I was worried about–I was like, people are thinking they are gonna start smacking comedians now if they don’t like what they are saying.”

“And what I’m thinking or what I’m worried about is–you know, people think that’s justified,” concluded Rogan.
