UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland recently took aim at the wife of rising star Ian Garry, Layla Anna-Lee. This was in relation to her 2012 book, ‘How to be a WAG’, with ‘Tarzan’ raising concerns about the theme of the book. Meanwhile, Anna-Lee has responded to the champion with Garry threatening to take legal action against Strickland.

The ever-vocal Sean Strickland did not take a liking to Ian Garry’s wife’s book. He made a statement about it while mentioning the age gap between the welterweight star and his wife. But Strickland’s words did not sit well with Layla Anna-Lee and she issued a response on Instagram.

‘The Future’s wife mentioned that she had checked out the video of Sean Strickalnd’s comments about her book. But she quickly turned it off after just a few seconds of the video. Moreover, she mentioned that the middleweight champion had lied about her multiple times.

“Sean. I’ve only heard the first few lines and switched it off. You’ve already spread three total lies,” said Layla Anna-Lee. Ian Garry’s wife also revealed in the response that she had sent a DM to him, explaining how his lies have affected her in a negative way, causing her to feel harassed by Sean Strickland.

“I’ve sent you a DM and trying to contact you so you know you’re causing a snowball effect now on a lie that’s causing a serious volume of harassment towards me,” Layla Anna-Lee further stated.

Nevertheless, Ian Garry’s wife has no problems with Sean Strickland having his own opinions about her book. However, she is surprised to see the middleweight champion speaking out about it without considering the consequences his words can have.

“Have all the opinion you wish. You can’t make up stories. I am not surprised you believe everything you read but I’m shocked you’re positing this without understanding consequence,” Anna-Lee added. Not only this but ‘The Future’ also approached Strickland in regard to his comments and threatened to sue him for it.

Ian Garry threatened the middleweight champion with legal action

The 26-year-old Irish star apparently contacted Sean Strickland via DM on Instagram with regard to the things he said about his wife’s book. The screenshots were made public by ‘Tarzan’ where Ian Garry can be clearly seen asking the champion to take down the video he posted on social media. He claimed that Strickland was partaking in harassment and defamation of character.

However, Sean Strickland seemed unfazed by Ian Garry’s threats. He mentioned that the 26-year-old would have earned his respect if he’d asked him for a fight instead of threatening him with legal action. Furthermore, Garry also mentioned that he was trying to let Strickland be aware that what he was saying was nothing but spreading hate and lies towards his wife.

Sean Strickland has never had a good relationship with Ian Garry. He even called him a “beta male” a few months ago. Even though ‘The Future’ had sent legal threats to Strickland, there have been no developments on that front. We will have to wait and see how things unfold in the days and months to come.
