Stipe Miocic is done with MMA. The former heavyweight champion, of course, is considered the heavyweight GOAT and bid adieu to the sport at thr age of 42, after his defeat to Jon Jones last month. But he is a simple man, who likes simple things. Now, after a lifetime of hard work and a stellar career, he can do what he loves – firefight, spend time with his family, and watch football.
Speaking of football, Miocic is a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and was named the team’s ‘Dawg Pound Captain’ for this week, ahead of the team’s home fixture against the Kansas City Chiefs. ‘Dawg Pound Captain’ is an honorary title given to a former Brown or a celebrity, whose job it is to hype up the crowd. And Miocic was asked to smash a Chiefs-themed guitar as part of his ‘Dawg Pound Captain’ duties.
Well, Miocic did so, and did it in style. He walked out with no shirt, wearing jeans and absolutely destroyed the guitar in one swing, walking away to a cheering crowd. The Browns were quite proud to have the former UFC champ kick things off, and posted the video on their social media, along with the caption: “the heavyweight made quick work of that guitar! 😲”

Fans react to Stipe Miocic smashing guitar at Browns game
The toughest part of Miocic’s career is over. After over a decade in the UFC and fighting some of the scariest, most powerful men in the entire world, Miocic seems to be enjoying retirement. This is why one fan was correct in observing: “Stipe doing side missions now“.
It goes without saying that Miocic is fearless. After all, one does not defeat the monsters like Daniel Cormier and Francis Ngannou without being fearless. One keen-eyed fan couldn’t help but observe how that fearlessness was on full display at the game since he chose to smash the guitar without protective glasses on, risking shrapnel flying into his eyes: “Perfect spot for the protective glasses! Stipe has no fear! 🔥🔥❤”

The Browns, of course, have had a terrible season. After all, they are 3-11 in the 2024-25 season and even lost their game to the Chiefs yesterday. Miocic, of course, got figuratively smashed by Jon Jones at UFC 309, suffering a knockout loss to the overall GOAT contender in the third round via a fantastic spinning back-kick. This is why one fan couldn’t resist joking that: “Jon Jones did that to him.” The Chiefs absolutely humiliated the Browns at their game, beating them by fourteen points. This made one fan somewhat upset that Miocic smashed the guitar and hyped up the crowd only for the home team to go down without even a fight: “Yall really wasted that man’s time smh.”
