Stipe Miocic responds to Tom Aspinall

The 41-year-old former champion heard what Tom Aspinall had to say about him fighting Jon Jones. He responded to the interim champion by claiming that it was not his fault that the fight was postponed. Instead, it was due to an unfortunate injury that led Jones to pull out and take some time off. Miocic said, “I have never caused a delay in the Jon fight.” Due to the injury, the Miocic vs. Jones fight will presumably take place in the latter half of 2024.

Moreover, Stipe Miocic even laid down his plans following the heavyweight title fight against Jon Jones. The former 2-time champion sounded confident in his ability to defeat ‘Bones’ when they fight, following which, he suggested Tom Aspinall engage in a discussion for them to fight and unify both championships. “Tom, once I get this win, let’s talk to unify the belt,” Miocic added.
