Stipe Miocic isn’t just the UFC heavyweight champion, he is also a first responder. Having dedicated his life to helping others, Miocic is one of the few heavyweight champions to have two jobs.
A firefighter during his time outside the octagon, Stipe is loved by the MMA community for his continued dedication to the service of others.
The Heavyweight champion took to Twitter to celebrate those who he holds close to his heart- the veterans. He wrote, “Let’s all take a moment to bow our heads and give thanks to all of our brothers and sisters who have served our beautiful country #veterans #veteransday.”

The UFC has always celebrated Veterans Day. Fighters such as Daniel Cormier, Urijah Faber, Colby Covington joined Miocic in celebrating all those that served their country.
When will Stipe Miocic fight next?
Having cemented himself as the greatest heavyweight of all time, Miocic will look to extend his legacy. The heavyweight champion is coming off the back of a trilogy of fights with Daniel Cormier.
Miocic has only lost three fights in his career while winning 20. While he lost to ‘DC’ at UFC 226, Stipe went on to win the next two fights in the trilogy.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that we will not see Miocic back in the UFC Octagon till March 2021. A rematch with Francis Ngannou, although not yet scheduled, has all but been confirmed.

The last time Miocic and Ngannou faced off was in 2018. ‘The Predator’ entered the fight as one of the most feared men in the world. The UFC President and the promotion hyped the Cameroonian born star as a legitimate threat.
However, Miocic would put a stop to all the hype with a dominant performance. The heavyweight champion would lay a beat down on ‘The Predator’ in spectacular fashion. Stipe Miocic out-landed Francis Ngannou 200-33 in total strikes. He registered six takedowns and landed 73% of his strikes.

Since their last encounter, Ngannou has brought himself back with four consecutive wins. However, these have all been first-round knockouts. Hence a certain section of the fanbase will wonder if history will repeat itself if the fight goes to the later rounds.

Miocic will now have to face the brute force of Ngannou again. With Stipe at 38 years of age, it will be exciting for the fans to see if the outcome will be different.
