Dillon Danis prides himself on being a professional fighter. However, the public verdict over this claim is a bit gloomy. After all, the BJJ black belt and Conor McGregor’s former teammate has had only two pro-MMA fights and one boxing match. What Danis does excel at, however, is being a troll. The former Bellator fighter is pretty funny and willing to cross lines, which makes him very entertaining to follow on social media.

Another example of this came recently as he ridiculed Jon Jones for blocking him on X. “Grown a** man blocking me 😂 Stop being a pu**y and fight Tom Aspinall,” he wrote.

Jones, of course, is the ‘undisputed’ heavyweight champion and is in talks to fight interim champion Tom Aspinall. This is something many doubt he will actually ever do. After all, the consensus MMA GOAT had been totally against fighting the Englishman prior to his UFC 309 Stipe Miocic fight. Since then, seeing he has no other choice (like Alex Pereira), he has seemingly acquiesced to facing Aspinall. But only if he gets “f**k you money.” How much that is, no one has any idea.

But some suspect Jones may price himself out of fighting the Englishman, or at the very least, is concerned he might lose and is making sure the risk of tarring his record is worth the financial reward. But what brought about this ‘blocking’ in the first place? It is pretty easy to see why based on Danis’ X history.

Dillon Danis dubs Jones as the Floyd Mayweather of MMA

Jon Jones is considered the GOAT by many because of his essentially undefeated record, record sixteen title defenses, and prodigal mental and physical attributes. But all of this is still not enough to convince Dillon Danis. “Jon Jones is the Floyd Mayweather of MMA. Think about it—he’s never fought any fighter in their prime. It’s always been either too early or too late. He’s made a career out of perfect matchmaking. Think about it and tell me I’m wrong?” Danis tweeted earlier this month.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jon Jones ducking prime fighters, or is Dillon Danis just stirring the pot again?

Have an interesting take?

Like Jones, Floyd Mayweather, too, is undefeated. And despite his prodigal boxing talent, he is one of the most hated men in boxing, whom fans detested for ‘ruining’ boxing by ducking opponents until they are past their prime and chasing an undefeated record all his career.

This might be the worst thing to call a fighter since refusing to compete against someone deserving is considered the ultimate sin in combat sports. Not to mention Danis also made some unsavory remarks about Jones and his history with his family not too long ago. What do you think about Dillon Danis trolling Jon Jones yet again?
