A middleweight bout between two surging contenders, Tafon Nchukwi and Jun Yong Park, has been added to the UFC Fight Night card on May 8th. There are some great fights scheduled to take place at the yet-to-be-disclosed location.

The Cameroonian, Nchukwi, is undefeated as a professional and has a 5-0 record. The fight against Park will be his second appearance in the UFC. He picked up a decision win over Jamie Pickett on the last fight card of 2020. ‘Cameroon Express’ has competed in the Dana White’s Contender Series before.
He scored a scary knockout over Al Matavao on DWCS, which led the UFC President to compare the rising star with Mike Tyson. His win over Pickett in December was the first time he had to go to judges’ scorecards. Previously, Nchukwi had won all his fights by knockout.
As for Park, the fight in May will be his 4th appearance inside the UFC Octagon. He dropped his debut against Anthony Hernandez in August 2019, losing by submission. ‘The Iron Turtle’ has managed to put together a 2-fight winning streak since. Back-to-back decisions over Marc-Andre Barriault and John Phillips have extended his impressive professional record to 12-4.
Out of Park’s 12 wins, 8 have come by the way of finishes. He has 5 T/KO and 3 submission finishes under his resume.
Tafon Nchukwi vs Jun Yong Park: How do the middleweights match up?
Both fighters possess great striking prowess with a combined 9 knockout victories under their belt. However, Park has shown some great submission skills as well in his career. But, it will be interesting to see how they approach the contest in May. Both fighters will look to move to the upper echelon of the 185lbs division with a win on the Fight Night card.
Holly Holm, who will fight Julianna Pena in an intriguing bout, will headline the UFC Fight Night card in May. The UFC has lined up veterans Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez to take up the co-main event spot. Also Francisco Figueiredo, Jimmy Flick, and more notable names will be part of the fight card.
