Tatiana Suarez had taken the world of combat sports by storm when she joined the UFC after winning medals in the World Jiu-Jitsu and the World Wrestling Championships. She continued her amazing form in the UFC and has won all four of her fights in the UFC.
However, her career got marred by injuries that sidelined her for two years. Her last fight was against Nina Ansaroff at UFC 238 in 2019. Thankfully, she seems to be healthy now and appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani for ESPN MMA and explained her plans for the future.

Helwani asked her about her injury woes, and Suarez explained. “I received my injury, my neck injury. I went back to light training, but when I went back, I kinda went crazy. I ended up breaking my hand, and I got a concussion. I have chronic back pain. Sometimes it’s so bad I can barely walk,” she replied.
This back pain can spark up if she trains with someone who is much heavier than she is. She also added that she started light training and that this back pain restricted her. “I have to be very careful (with) what I do. I have to monitor who I’m going with,” she said.
However, Suarez said that she’s healthy now. Helwani asked her about a possible comeback date and she said that her health was her priority. “I am trying to get through a few months without injury,” she answered.
