Dana White has made his decision for Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker. The undefeated fighter has been waiting for a long time for his next match and White has answered his demands, however, it would not be the title fight that he wanted. Khamzat Chimaev will now be facing against former middleweight champion Whittaker for UFC Fight Night in Saudi Arabia.

This would be UFC’s debut in the desert nation of Saudi Arabia and seems like White is planning to make his second outing a blockbuster. The UFC CEO has lined up a tremendous card for the event and seems like Robert Whittaker is looking forward to it but team Conor McGregor has some serious doubts about Whittaker.

Dana White came forward and announced that Khamzat Chimaev would be taking on Robert Whittaker in his clash in Saudi Arabia. Both of the fighters are coming up from a win against ranked fighters. Chimaev defeated Kamaru Usman back in UFC 294 and Whittaker defeated Paulo Costa in UFC 298. The fighters have been one of the prospects for the UFC middleweight title and their fight might be the deciding factor for White for the fate of the division.

As soon as their fight was announced, both Chimaev and Whitaker took to their Instagram handle to share it. Whittaker shared the photo of their announcement on his Instagram and captioned it with “Once more into the fray”. After getting a victory against Costa, Whittaker seems to be confident, however, team Conor Mcgregor has their set of doubts.

In the same post shared by Khamzat Chimaev, McGregor’s friend, Dillon Danis commented, “Why they keep giving Chimaev easy fights” Danis seems to have that opinion that Chiamev will have it easy against Whittaker, however, considering the last few opponents for the Australian, Danis’s assessments seems to be a bit wrong.

Their fight might be one of the best things in the card as the headliner, however, Chimaev vs. Whittaker is not the only banger that has been stacked for the night.

UFC’s debut in Saudi Arabia is stacked

Dana White’s and UFC’s last endeavor to the Middle East was back in UFC w94 when Islam Makhachev took on Alexander Volkanovski. Interestingly, Khamzat Chimaev was also a part of that card. ‘Borz’ took on Kamaru Usman in that card. The Abu Dhabi card was an absolute masterpiece and Dana White seems to be waiting to make the Saudi Arabia one even more remarkable.

Excluding the Khamzat Chimaev vs. Robert Whittaker fight. The card has more hyped fights as well. Other fights on the card include Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alexander Volkov, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Daniel Rodriguez, Volkan Oezdemir vs. Johnny Walker, and Shara Magomedov vs. Ihor Potieria.
