Jake Paul is a polarizing figure in the combat sports world. There is no doubt the former Disney star has made significant waves in the fight business, managing to organize and sell pay-per-views in a very difficult and competitive industry.

However, the one criticism that Paul inevitably faces is over his choice of opponents. Most of ‘The Problem Child’s opponents have been old and retired UFC fighters, most of whom had never boxed before. Paul, however, is looking to change this perception and fought novice boxer Andre August last month in an attempt to prepare his resume for an eventual title shot. And even as Paul announced he will be fighting again soon, Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s team is unconvinced.

Khabib’s manager takes a dig at Jake Paul

Jake Paul took to his X (Twitter) account and claimed that his team had sent contracts to two potential opponents for a March 2 fight in Puerto Rico and was waiting to see which one would accept first. “My team sent out two contracts today. Let’s see which of the two potential opponents accepts first. Saturday March 2nd. Puerto Rico. Live on DAZN,” Paul tweeted.

This prompted UFC light heavyweight Derek Brunson to reply with “a hand holding a pen emoji” to the tweet, indicating he would like to fight the celebrity boxer. Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager, however, told Brunson in a tweet that Paul would not fight him as he is an active fighter and ‘The Problem Child’ only fights retired fighters.

“He doesn’t want the smoke he only fights retired fighter maybe in couple years he will fight you,” Abdelaziz tweeted. Clearly, the manager is not a fan of Paul. But if the California native is still young and if he fights and beats a couple of serious professional boxers, this narrative may quickly change.

Paul has a hilarious reaction to Tyron Woodley’s leaked video

An explicit video of Paul’s former opponent Tyron Woodley being intimate with an unknown woman has been making the rounds in the MMA world. The former UFC welterweight champion fought Jake Paul twice back in 2021 and lost both times to the former Disney star.

Woodley was retired and 39 years old at the time, and most saw the fights as quick paydays for the Missouri native. And Paul had amusement at Woodley’s tape. “All my opponents eat good,” ‘The Problem Child’ wrote on Twitter. What do you think about Abdelaziz’s take on Jake Paul?
