The fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler is yet to be confirmed for UFC 302. However, there are a lot of fans and fighters alike, who are giving their take on the bout. One of them is the enigmatic, light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker. McGregor’s stablemate at SBG Ireland, Walker had a rather bold prediction on how the fight would unfold.

In a recent exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Johnny Walker discussed his upcoming rematch against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night 234. After talking about his own fight, the Brazilian discussed the return of the ‘Mac.’ Unsurprisingly, Walker was all in for the Irishman getting the job done. Further, he made a prediction for the same, much like ‘Mystic Mac’ himself.

When asked if Walker is looking forward to the potential fight between McGregor and Chandler, the Brazilian replied, saying, “Yeah, very excited to watch Conor. Not just me but I think all the MMA community wants to see Conor fight again.”

Given that he trains in the same gym as ‘The Notorious’, he must be one of the few people who sees the camp McGregor is going through. In the interview, he predicted how the fight would play out, saying, “I think Conor gonna go knock him out with a left hook and I can’t wait to see that happen.”

He further backed up the prediction by adding a little more detail to his bold claims, stating, “Yeah, he’s going to knock him out. Second round, left hook.” Johnny Walker seems confident in McGregor pulling through with a victory in the fight. However, he isn’t the only fighter who believes that.

Former double champion predicts McGregor vs. Chandler

Fellow UFC ‘champ champ’ Henry Cejudo is also backing McGregor to get the win over Chandler. In one of Triple C’s YouTube videos, he gave his breakdown of potential the fight between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor.

Like Walker, Cejudo picked Conor McGregor to win the fight by giving credit to his infamous left hand. He stated, “I think it might be an advantage for Conor a little bit… Conor doesn’t have to cut. Maybe he could just really just focus in on power…. I mean, take your chances with that with that infamous right (left) hand.”
