Terrance McKinney secured the fastest knockout in the history of the promotion’s lightweight division with his win over Matt Frevola in the early prelims at UFC 263. ‘T-Wrecks’ clocked in a 7-second finish and maximized on his debut for the promotion. McKinney fired a combination right out of the gate, leaving Frevola out on the floor.
Frank Camacho, Frevola’s initially scheduled opponent, faced an accident prior to the fight. That left McKinney with the chance to step in on short notice. Needless to say, the former LFA fighter made the most out of it. However, his journey to this point took him through rough water.

In an old video during his LFA days, McKinney explained how he overcame demons in his early life.
“I was drinking. And then I ended up getting offers of bio acid into shrooms. And I ended up taking those. And then I started tripping really bad end up seeing demons,” said McKinney about his lifestyle in 2014.
“I was pretty much out of my mind. And then when they try to cage me, I started going crazy. So they had to cage me, like multiple cages. I ate it like it was nothing. I’m just grateful that I wasn’t shot because the way I was acting, they kind of have every right like I was fighting them,” he further added.

“And then they finally got me down. He was able to restrain me… And that’s why I ended up dying twice. And I didn’t even know I had died. Like, that’s the scariest part,” McKinney concluded.
He has had a sensational rise from then to now. And with a UFC debut like the one he had, one can expect the lightweight to make a name for himself.
