

Unfortunate news hit the MMA world as fighter Elias Theodorou passed away after battling cancer. The news shook the entire community. Reports confirm the former UFC athlete was dealing with stage 4 liver cancer for quite some time and died at 34.

Sadly, a representative of Elias Theodorou has confirmed earlier reports that he has passed away at age 34.
Theodorou was privately battling Stage 4 liver cancer and had only told a select group of people of his diagnosis.

Also known as ‘The Spartan’, the Canadian athlete was a promising mixed martial arts athlete with an impressive record of 19-3. The Grant’s MMA standout had a decent run in the premier MMA organization with a record of 8-3.

Even in his post-UFC career, the Mississauga, Ontario fighter was on a three-fight winning streak.

Theodorou came into the UFC with an undefeated MMA record. He was a contestant in The Ultimate Fighter Nations. The Canadian won the tournament’s finals against Sheldon Westcott (T/KO in Round 2, 4:41).
