It’s not easy to leave a place where you lived a significant part of your life. But when politics and living conditions come into play, very little is left to choice. This is what happened with Joe Rogan. The multimillionaire podcaster left the West Coast in 2020 after a single visit to Austin, Texas, citing the greater freedom he experienced there compared to California. Approximately, four years later, his close friend Brendan Schaub has come forward to express his willingness to leave the blue state after the wildfires.

While having a conversation on his podcast, ‘Extra Thiccc’, Schaub informed his fans that his home was left undamaged by the forest fires because the winds blew in the opposite direction, “The entire valley isn’t up in flames, is because the Santa Ana winds always run towards the ocean. That’s why you see the Palisades Malibu burning down so fast because the Santa Ana winds are going, it starts above them and then flies the fu–ing down to the ocean. That’s why it’s so bad over there.”

Schaub is absolutely fed up with the mess that politics has caused on the West Coast. The former UFC fighter emphasized that the management defunded critical services like reservoirs and fire departments in a state that is known to have heavy wildfires. Schaub further added that these are the reasons why he is considering leaving the state once and for all, “I’d be lying if I didn’t say this is the hardest I’ve ever thought about leaving California. I’m fu–ing sick of it, man. It’s run by complete morons.”

He further added that he thought he would stick around California, despite his good friends, such as Theo Von and Joe Rogan, moving out of the state, Theo was one of the first ones. He went to Nashville, but he was the first one to leave. Then Rogan, right?” However, the California fires appeared to have changed his might as he is done with, “incompetent government political officials.”

It should be noted that even the UFC head honcho, Dana White, was considering changing the UFC 311 venue due to the fires. Interestingly, it seems that Joe Rogan was aware of the fires well before they actually occurred.

Joe Rogan Knew LA fires were coming way before the Cali incident

According to certain reports, the losses from the LA fires are expected to exceed a massive $135 billion, and some people place the blame solely on the government. The insurance companies are bracing for a massive hit as according to Morningstar and JP Morgan losses would exceed $8 billion. Well, Joe Rogan might have known about such a loss way before it actually happened.

While having a conversation with Sam Morril from July 2024, the multi-million dollar podcaster shared a chilling forecast that the devastating wildfires might engulf Los Angeles sooner or later. According to the podcast, a firefighter explained that such fires could escalate rapidly, growing too large and uncontrollable once ignited. “These fires are so big… once it happens, it happens in a way that it’s so spread out that there’s nothing that they can do,” said Rogan.

Six months later, the grim prediction has materialized. Devastating wildfires, such as the massive Palisades Fire, have scorched thousands of acres, displaced over 150,000 residents, and left authorities struggling to manage the aftermath. Well, what are your thoughts on Joe Rogan’s prediction? State your opinion in the comments below.
