

Veteran actor Tom Hardy stunned the martial arts world when news of his impressive Jiu-Jitsu run came out. Hardy, 45, won three Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in a month. Famed MMA coach and Jiu-Jitsu expert John Danaher recently joined the list of pros who gave their seal of approval to Tom Hardy.

Danaher was a part of the legendary team that coached former UFC champion Georges St-Pierre. The Renzo Gracie student took to social media to pen down a message of appreciation to Hardy and to talk about rolling on the mats with him.

Fans react to Tom Hardy training with John Danaher
John Danaher’s latest Instagram post about Tom Hardy blew up among MMA and movie fans. Several of them expressed their excitement at seeing Hardy train with the decorated Jiu-Jitsu specialist. The British actor amassed a huge fan following through his roles in the Venom and Batman movies. Some cheeky responses showed fans referring to his famous roles as well.

“Terrifying and awesome on so many levels 💥💯🤟,” wrote one fan. Referring to Hardy’s role as the comic book villain Bane, one fan wrote, “Imagine rolling with Hardy and he hits you with the Bane voice.” Another excited fan wrote, “it was bound to happen at some point. now he really is going to become Bane.”

Several fans expressed their wish to see the actor go on Joe Rogan’s podcast. “Please tell me this means he’s doing rogan while he is in town,” commented one fan. “On @joerogan you mentioned making contact with @tomhardy. Bane had Ra’s Al Ghul, and it appears Hardy has found a legendary coach too. “Glad to see a legend with Tom,” said another fan, appreciating the combo. “I do not blame GSP one bit. That is one of the most quotable movies of all time,” said another fan after Danaher’s reference to GSP in the caption of the post.

In the caption to the post, Danaher revealed that his student and former UFC champion Georges St-Pierre was an ardent Tom Hardy fan. Danaher revealed he became a fan after GSP relentlessly quoted Bane during training.

“I’ve always been a fan of Mr Hardy’s cinematic work after Georges St Pierre, who was obsessed with The Batman movie in which the Caped Crusader takes on arch villain Bane (played by Mr Hardy), used to quote endlessly from the movie during fight camps!” wrote Danaher.
“When I was demonstrating technique with him I kept expecting him to say “do you feel in charge?” – as he grabbed me by the neck!”- wrote Danaher, joking about their training experience.
