Alexander Volkanovski has successfully defended his featherweight title twice as of now. His last victory was against Brian Ortega back in September at the UFC 266 and for now, Alexander’s next opponent isn’t decided yet. Given that uncertainty, the idea of him fighting Henry Cejudo has been a topic for hot debate.
Henry Cejudo’s manager Ali Abdelaziz hinted at Henry’s comeback from retirement. Cejudo retired from the octagon back in May 2022. The team is trying to propose a comeback fight with Alexander for the UFC featherweight title in February.
However, ‘The Great’ is not very pleased with this. During his recent interview with John Hyun Ko of The AllStar, he explained why the fight isn’t beneficial for him. He said, “The UFC ain’t taking him serious. I guarantee the UFC aren’t paying him what he wants.”

As Alexander explained in the interview, it is highly unlikely the two legends will fight immediately. Alexander is on a staggering 20-fight winning streak. Cejudo needs to first get his momentum by fighting some good fighters before getting in the octagon with Alexander.
But if the money bag is right, you never know, Henry might be fighting his first match after retirement against Volkanovski.
