When Alex Pereira separated from his ex-fiancée, Merle Christine, it created a lot of noise and both individuals didn’t back down from taking shots at each in public. They gave their own versions for the reason why they broke up, and shortly after, the drama subsided and no one talked about it anymore. But after Pereira dropped the belt at UFC 313, Christine shared a video on social media, mocking her ex-partner for facing defeat.

Merle Christine, prior to UFC 313, even made a prediction for the main event, but that was not when she took a dig at Alex Pereira. After the PPV, in a short video, she claimed that her former partner losing on International Women’s Day was a sign of “karma” being served to the Brazilian star.

“One of the things I saw was his, Alex Pereira’s ex-wife making a video like, ‘No more chama.’ I was like, ‘Yo, that’s foul, bro. That is foul,'” Aljamain Sterling stated in a video on his YouTube channel“I mean, I don’t know the ins and outs of their relationship, but that’s so, like… I feel like the wrong place. Maybe for her, it’s just a petty wap. I don’t know, but damn, that’s cold-blooded.”

Alex Pereira responds to Merle Christine mocking him for his loss

For the unversed, when Alex Pereira separated from Merle Christine, he claimed that he found out that she was married one year after dating and being engaged to her. As such, in his response to her mocking his loss, the former UFC champion decided to take a jibe with the reason for his breakup in mind, advising Christine to not talk about him to avoid creating issues with her real husband as he ended the message with his iconic catchphrase.

“I think she should stop mentioning my name [because] her husband might get jealous, chama,” Alex Pereira wrote on social media. Following his response, we are yet to see how Merle Christine reacts, although she’s maintained her stance on not being a married woman despite what the Brazilian UFC star had to say previously.
