Tyron Woodley’s loss against Jake Paul shocked various MMA fans. Many were sure that Woodley would defeat Paul in their second boxing match. Therefore, following the latter’s win, many fans have questioned if the match was fixed. However, Michael Bisping came forward to clarify the issue.

Bisping clearly believes that the match was legit and not rigged. While he was not happy with the fight, he does not think Woodley would agree to something so dishonest.

Bisping said, “It’s ridiculous. … Anytime somebody gets beaten, knocked out, something like that, they start. These conspiracy theories start going around. There’s no way Tyron Woodley’s gonna do that. Secondly, I mean, I’ve seen enough knockouts to know when one was real. That looked f**king real.”

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the bout, he said that the fight was “garbage.” According to him, the bout luckily worked in Paul’s favor as he got a chance to quickly knock out Woodley. Speaking about ‘The Problem Child’, Bisping said, “The kid can bang, simple as that. He’s a big, strong, young kid. … Boom. … That’s not a fix!”

The retired fighter further mentioned that he did not want to disrespect Woodley, but could not help point out that the fight was bad. He said, “I like the guy [Tyron Woodley], I respect the career that he’s had… But the reality is it was a f**king sh*t fight from both men.”

Bisping also pointed out that most of the action was both Paul and Woodley clinching in the ring. He felt Paul was lucky to get the one-punch knockout exactly when Woodley dropped his guard.

Is Michael Bisping correct?

Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley’s first boxing match too ended up with Paul’s victory. At that time, too, many thought that the fight was fake. People were rooting for Woodley. The way the fight ended left viewers unhappy and suspicious. Hence, people questioned whether it was a legitimate boxing match.

UFC fighter Dustin Poirier had watched the match live and had given his opinion about it. According to him, the fight looked real. Thus, Poirier and Bisping’s claim that both the matches were fair might clear up the rumors about it being fake.
